AI, without the risk you were warned about. We help Canadian small and medium businesses adopt AI in the places that actually pay back, and build guardrails where they matter.
Compass is a free, ten-minute reading of your AI exposure, readiness, opportunity, and risk. No sales call, no pitch. Answer fifteen questions, get a two-page PDF, decide what's worth doing first.
Start free, go as deep as it makes sense. Every engagement begins with a conversation about fit, not a pitch.
Free readiness reading. Ten minutes, two-page PDF, no pitch.
A structured two-week assessment. We map where AI fits, where it shouldn't, and what one or two Quick Wins look like.
Productized AI deployments. Fixed scope, fixed fee. Document summarization, intake automation, CRM enrichment.
When one tool isn't the answer. Multi-month engagements with a Fractional AI Officer option for ongoing oversight.
A three-step rhythm that keeps us honest and keeps the work grounded in what actually helps.
We start small, usually with Compass or a Shield Diagnostic. No pitching on day one.
We ship something real in the first 30 days. Not a slide deck, a workflow that saves you time.
If it works, we go further. If it doesn't, we tell you plainly.
We work with Canadian small and mid-sized firms where the team is already overloaded and adding one more piece of software rarely helps.
If you're in one of those fields and you've been meaning to look into AI for six months, start with Compass.
Led by a former developer and technical PM. We don't outsource the thinking.
We don't cosplay enterprise consulting. Our methods are built for teams of five to two hundred.
We know which federal and provincial funding programs apply and help you access them.
We'll tell you where AI shouldn't go. That's the job.
Ancile Strategy Group was incorporated in Alberta in 2026 to address a gap that became impossible to ignore. Large enterprises have AI strategy teams. Global consultancies will take a seven-figure fee to write a PDF. Small and medium businesses, the firms that employ most Canadians, have been left to figure it out alone.
I started Ancile because I've worked on both sides of that gap. I studied computer science, worked as a developer, and spent years as a technical product manager translating between engineering and business. What I saw was that the SMEs with the most to gain from AI were the ones most afraid to start, and the least well-served by the options available to them.
Ancile exists to change that. We work directly with owners. We deploy solutions that save real hours. We are honest about where AI doesn't belong. And we advocate for Canadian small businesses in the policy conversations that will shape how this technology gets adopted here.
